Bludgeon
Master of Metalliko, the forbidden Cybertronian art of combat, Bludgeon began his rise to fame as a member of the second Decepticon Mayhem Attack Squad. Assembled to hunt down the rogue Decepticons Carnivac and Catilla, the Mayhems were eliminated down to just Bludgeon and his fellow Pretenders, Octopunch and Stranglehold by a vengeful Carnivac after Bludgeon killed Catilla. The Mayhem’s continued on composed of the three survivors. It was Bludgeon’s shot, deflected by Grimlock’s armour, that awoke Primus when the Mayhems were sent to hunt down Grimlock, Bumblebee and Jazz. After Scorponok was killed fighting Unicron, Bludgeon took over the leadership of the Decepticons. He lead the Decepticons off of Cybertron, abandoning the Autobots to be destroyed in Cybertron’s apparent disintegration. He defeated the Autobots led by Grimlock who had managed to follow him to the planet Klo, but Bludgeon and his Decepticons were driven into deep space by a reborn Optimus Prime and the Last Autobot. After a few years of rebuilding his forces and capturing alien technology including the moon sized dreadnought, Warworld, Bludgeon launched an all out attack on Earth to draw out Optimus Prime. Bludgeon hoped to capture the Matrix and use it to give life to hordes of new Decepticon warriors, but was killed by Megatron when the later returned to reclaim the leadership of the Decepticons.
Galvatron
In a major battle at Autobot City on Earth in 2005, both Optimus Prime and Megatron were critically wounded in single combat. Prime later died and Megatron, though barely functional was thrown into space by Starscream along with the other wounded. Before he died Megatron was found by Unicron and remade into Galvatron, Unicron’s herald. These events occurred in all time lines where Galvatron exists. Furious with being made a servant, Galvatron and his lieutenants Cyclonus and Scourge travelled back to 1986 where they would be free of Unicron’s control. There Galvatron constructed a weapon on Earth that he could use to destroy Unicron in his future. Galvatron crushed all opposition in the present until Unicron controlling the future Autobots, Hotrod, Kup and Blur fooled Galvatron into believing that instead of the past, he had travelled into a parallel universe. Galvatron and all inhabitants of 2005 returned there, where the Autobot tools had their memories erased and Galvatron was punished. Unicron was destroyed shortly after when Hotrod gained the Matrix becoming Rodimus Prime. Rodimus defeated Galvatron and threw him out into space, where Galvatron travelled back in time again. After various plots and defeating both Autobots and Decepticons of the past, Galvatron teamed up with Megatron’s clone to destroy all comers. In the mean time Cyclonus and Scourge too returned to the past, but did so bypassing the normal time travel procedures. A being travelling to the past has to displace another of equal mass to a limbo dimension. Cyclonus and Scourge came directly without displacing anyone. This, in addition with the numerous changes to the time line caused by Galvatron caused the space-time continuum to fracture. The situation worsened when Cyclonus was killed over a decade before he was created.. Time rifts opened at Earth and Cybertron in both past and future threatening to destroy both worlds. Autobots and Decepticons united to destroy Galvatron but were slaughtered, including most of the Wreckers and the original Mayhem Attack Squad. Eventually Galvatron was torn apart by the time vortex. Scourge together with the remains of Cyclonus were swallowed up and the rift sealed, ending the so called Time Wars. The afore mentioned future continued on as part of a parallel universe but the central time-line was changed by Galvatron’s actions such that Unicron found Cybertron in 1991 instead of 2005. Needing a herald, Unicron looked to another parallel universe to find one. There Unicron had destroyed Cybertron in 2005 and Galvatron leading the Decepticons had all but conquered Earth and slaughtered all but a few Autobots. Unicron found and remade three servants, Hook, Line and Sinker, and using them, removed this second Galvatron from his Universe to the main one. There Galvatron was sent forth to disrupt the Transformers’ attempts to prepare for Unicron’s coming. But this Galvatron like the other refused to be made a slave and sought out Emirate Xaaron to call forth Primus to defeat Unicron. Primus awoke, possessed Xaaron and brought the all Transformers back to Cybertron where Unicron was destroyed. In the aftermath Cybertron appeared to be self-destructing and Galvatron, who had managed to go unseen by all but Xaaron, stowed away on the Ark. Stolen by Shockwave and Starscream, the Ark was headed to a defenceless Earth. Just before the Ark reached Earth orbit Autobot surgeon Ratchet managed to crash the giant spacecraft. Galvatron survived and blinded by one of frequent his bouts of rage and insanity, slaughtered an investigating military patrol and wandered aimlessly until found and defeated by Fortress Maximus. He was last seen slipping through a hole in the Arctic ice.
Scorponok
Scorponok began his rise to the Decepticon leadership as the commander of one of the many roving bands of Decepticons who hunted down neutrals and guerilla bands of Autobots alike. His main opponent was Fortress Maximus. When Maximus left Cybertron for the planet Nebulos, Scorponok and his soldiers, followed Maximus to the earth-like world. They had been directed there by inhabitants of the world who felt threatened by Maximus and his Autobots. There they were defeated by Maximus and his troops, many of whom including Maximus had undergone the Headmaster process greatly increasing their strength. Scorponok took Lord Zarak the leader of the faction who had opposed the Autobots coming, hostage and he and his Decepticons joined with Zarak and his followers as Headmasters. Lord Zarak was bonded with Scorponok. Both sides soon gained Targetmasters, widening the scale of the conflict. The battles that followed threatened to destroy Nebulos so Zarak using the last of his free will (which was being corrupted by Scorponok’s mind and power) allowed Maximus to flee Nebulos. Scorponok followed and tracked Maximus to Earth. Following the disappearance (and presumed death) of Shockwave and the death of Ratbat, the previous commanders Earth’s Decepticons, Scorponok on the strength of his Headmasters and Targetmasters took power. Unlike almost all other Headmasters, it was Lord Zarak who was the dominant personality and not Scorponok. Lord Zarak’s personality had been changed to a degree, reflecting Scorponok’s ruthlessness and sheer power, yet the basic core of Zarak remained. As such he was more flexible than most Decepticon leaders and was this that allowed the Decepticon-Autobot alliance to face the coming of Unicron. Though plagued with doubts Scorponok was valiant to the end and died a hero in the battle with Unicron.
Straxus
Ruler of Cybertron when the Autobots and Decepticons awoke on Earth. Straxus came to power after his predecessor Trannis was assassinated by the Autobot’s elite strike team the Wreckers. Straxus’ body was destroyed while fighting the Autobot Blaster on the Space Bridge. Straxus continued to rule from a life-support tank. Threatened by Megatron’s return he attempted to take over Megatron’s mind and thus possess a body once more but was unable to do so. After Megatron apparently destroyed himself on the Space Bridge, Straxus placed his mind in a clone of Megatron he had constructed as back up and sent it to the sewers of London with the intent to rule as Megatron. However the clone was made too well and eventually was able to free itself of Straxus who then ceased to exist. The clone then went on fight alongside Galvatron in the Time Wars believing itself to be the real Megatron. Afterward it returned to Cybertron where it retook the Decepticon leadership there but encountered the real Megatron who had just recently recovered from the Space Bridge incident. The clone destroyed itself after the real Megatron told it the truth.
